Removal of Esplanade North Ship

Recommended Posts

My suggestion is simple.

Remove this huge ship, it makes no sense a random ship being there. It honestly ruins the scenery.

The location of it makes no sense. Why would a ship stop right there? It would be better if it was moved.

No point from removing it.

The removal of the ship destroys roleplay opportunities.

To be honest with you, I don't see a point of removing it there. Yes it's not really doing anything there but we can't just remove objects because it's pointless. Regardless, it can be used for other roleplay opportunities if it present itself.

Since GTA SA was made about 13 years ago and some of you forgot that fact, back then they didn't even think of making movable huge objects. That ship's probably supposed to be a moving ship, but since they couldn't move it back in 2005, they decided to just make it static and leave it there for the scenery, the portrayal of a bay side city. So once again, kids, remember it's an old game and some things are static since back then the programming was not as advanced as it is today, neither was the hardware. Engineer speaking here.

Don't remove it.

Like what? You can't even get up there.

Leave it there. Maybe map some stairs so it's accessible by boat. That way, awesome roleplay can happen there.

Stairs on the ship will look out of place, they will need to start from the water so they can actually be climbed.

Actually when a boat leaves a pier, they toggle all the stairs.
If you want to get on the boat there are two possible ways:
1) You go there with a helicopter;

2) You roleplay to get on the boat in an other way and then you ask an administrator to get tped on it.

The ship will remain there. Perhaps something with illegal factions can be done later down the road.

Honestly it should be removed. As Mikee said in a previous post, the ship cannot be accessed without a helicopter or admin teleport. The ship itself only exists for a single mission and it makes no sense having the ship stationary, I do agree it kinda ruins the coastline view when looking towards Bayside from SF Bay and vice versa.

Besides, there's already another cargo ship further east, north of Esplanade East, and this one is entirely accessible with a boat (there's a staircase), with a proper mapping and interior, and with this one you don't have to climb over containers and boxes to access parts of the ship. It's also at a distance so it doesn't obstruct the landscape and it's at a less open location so if it's meant for illegal activities, I'd rather criminal factions use that accessible ship.
