Shot's screenshot guide

Recommended Posts

Shots

This will be a guide on how I edit my screenshots from the beginning to end!

Here's examples of the end product:

yQLo5F1.png

Keybind you're going to need:

SetKeyDelay, 0

 RCtrl::
Send t/blindfold{enter}
Send t/pagesize 20{enter}
Sleep, 200
Sleep, 2000
Send t/blindfold{enter}
Send t/pagesize 10{enter}
return

Credits for the keybind: Kendrick Underood, and $hots (I slightly edited it to my liking).

Now let's get into the guide!

Step 1: The scenery, when you get a good scene and want that to be the screen you click alt+f7 x2 to get rid of the chat and type in /toghud (depends).

Here is an example of the scenery.

Step 2: Continue the RP, when you think that you got enough in the chatlog that will be captured within page size 20 activate the keybind and quickly take a screenshot!

In this example I activated the keybind two times, one to scroll up and capture the RP that passed by page size 20 and then the second time to capture the RP within page size 20.

Step 3: Take yo goofy ass to Photoshop and open all of these screenshots.

Step 4: Select the scenery RP screen, copy it and ctrl+n. Make the new canvas 800 x 450 (that's what I use, do whatever you want). Resize the scenery RP also, I like to zoom in on objects/guns or people some times but it depends.

Step 5: Go to the RP line screenshots and use the rectangular selection object and box the RP lines. Hit select > color range, select the black and check off 'invert' . The end should look like so

Step 6: When the RP lines are selected and weird looking hold ctrl+c, now go to the RP scenery picture and hit paste.

It should look like so

Step 7: Now double click the RP line layer, go to stroke and change it to 1.

Nice work, but If you do not want to see the chat while you taking screenshot, you can just press F7 twice.

I think I've come up with a script that automatically does all of this for you, besides actually editing. What this script does is it will hide your chat, take a screenshot, show your text again, put /blindfold on, take a screenshot, and then it will finally take /blindfold off.

All you have to do is use the command /ss In-Game.

:?:t/ss::
SendInput {enter}
SoundBeep 212
Send, {F7}{F7}
Sleep 250
Send, {F8}
Sleep 2000
Send, {F7}
Sleep 250
SendInput t/blindfold{enter}
Sleep 250
Send, {F8}
Sleep 2000
SendInput t/blindfold{enter}
SoundBeep 768
return

For some people they have to hold shift and then press f8 to take the screenshot. That won't work for me unfortunately, awesome script though.

Give me a second and I'll get it to work for you.

@Bishop Here, try this:

#NoEnv ; Recommended for performance and compatibility with future AutoHotkey releases.
; #Warn ; Enable warnings to assist with detecting common errors.
SendMode Input ; Recommended for new scripts due to its superior speed and reliability.
SetWorkingDir %A_ScriptDir% ; Ensures a consistent starting directory.

:?:t/ss::
SendInput {enter}
SoundBeep 212
Send, {F7}{F7}
Sleep 250
Send, {Shift down}{F8 down}
Sleep 175
Send, {Shift up}{F8 up}
Sleep 2000
Send, {F7}
Sleep 250
SendInput t/blindfold{enter}
Sleep 250
Send, {Shift down}{F8 down}
Sleep 175
Send, {Shift up}{F8 up}
Sleep 2000
SendInput t/blindfold{enter}
SoundBeep 768
return

If it doesn't work, let me know. I'll try again.
